Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon when two North Western locomotives collided south of Wilson avenue and Rockford road SW. Names were not available. An attached southbound train and an unattached northbound engine on the same track led to the collision after the signal to stop was not obeyed. Police moved two victims on stretchers to an ambulance. the third walked.
