Churches Vanish From Iowa Trailside Community
The National prairie area near McGregor in Clayton County loses its Methodist and Congregational churches. Congregational builders sold by auction for 1,160 dollars, with furnishings bidding by John Corlett, and the building later sold to Lutherans before Miss Thela Sherman saved it for cemetery use. In Strawberry Point the 1884 Congregational church faces razing after 1952 final services, sale funds benefiting the local Methodist church and Thimbles society.

West Union Legion Plans Awards Night
