CoOpportunity Health faced reserves shortfalls with about 17.2 million in cash and assets. Regulators took over in December as 120000 members faced enrollment shifts. By Feb 1 68005 members remained and more than 53000 found new carriers in Iowa and Nebraska. Coventry Aetna works with CMS to aid affected employers and consumers. Open enrollment ends Feb 15 and guaranty associations may cover claims up to 500000 per member.
