UNI President urges UNI as state and national leader in K 12 education
UNI President Ben Allen told the Cedar Rapids Downtown Rotary Club that the university must lead in K 12 education and become a stronger national player. He cited needed state funding, rising tuition, and student debt as drivers for widening UNI’s programs and attracting out of state students while boosting accounting and CPA exam results. The 12,250 student University seeks to grow enrollment back toward 14,000 and raise undergrad quality to a great level in Iowa.
