Washington AP Former Rep Charles A Eaton of New Jersey aged 84 and longtime foreign affairs figure died Friday in his apartment. He did not seek re election last year after completing his 14th consecutive term on January 3. Eaton helped found the U N in 1945 and later chaired the Foreign Affairs Committee in the 80th congress 1947 48.

Michigan Mutiny Chief Sentenced
Earl Ward, 28, leader of last April's mutiny at Southern Michigan prison, was convicted of kidnapping a guard during the riot. Judge Harry D. Boardman sentenced Ward to 20 to 30 years for abduction, to be served concurrently with a 15 to 30 year armed robbery term. Ward will serve about four years on the new term. He proclaimed, we use no discretion. Give me life.

Jones county public health nurse Mrs. Serbousik was seriously injured in a head on collision 1% miles northeast of Langworthy on highway 151 Thursday night. Driver L. H. Hageman of Hopkinton faced a charge of failure to yield. The crash occurred about 4 30 p.m. Mrs Serbousik suffered a broken hip and was taken to Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids.
