Griffith Reverses Self In Engineering Trades

ASHINGTON, D. C. During the last few years Clark Griffiths trades with clubs have made him the talk of the American league. He now has three stars he once shipped away Gen Alvin Crowder Goose Goslin and Buddy Myer. He sent Crowder to St Louis in 1927 but brought him back in 1930 and in 1932 Crowder led the league in wins with twenty six. Goslin was brought back this year after a trade that sent Crowder back to Washington leaving the Senators Lloyd Brown Sam West and Carl Reynolds away. One of Griffiths greatest mis takes was trading Buddy Myer to the Red Sox for Topper Rigney. Two years later he sent Boston cash and five uniforms to bring Buddy back. He follows a two year pennant window theory and waited until 1932 to start on recent trades. The Old Fox regards his best move as the Roger Peckinpaugh trade for fifty thousand dollars Bing Miller Frank O Rourke and Joe Acosta which yielded two pennants and wealth.
