Online voter registration coming to Iowa

Iowa will offer online voter registration for residents with a driver s license or state ID after a unanimous vote by the five member voter registration commission. The system will use the DOT database and could launch in early 2016, with online sign in via the SOS or county auditor sites and a mail in registration card. preregistration is allowed up to 10 days before an election.
