Judge likely blocks Anthem Cigna merger as trial eyes push
Reuters reports a federal judge may block the deal between Anthem Inc and Cigna Corp. The government suit alleges anti competitive effects and Anthem, parent of Amerigroup Iowa, runs Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in fourteen states. Trial began last year with deadline extensions and expected ruling against the merger.
