Iowa group seeks laws to aid trafficking victims
The Central Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking urges new state legislation to help victims on recovery paths. It proposes rapid response teams modeled after Sexual Assault Response Teams and claims vacating convictions for minor victims could remove barriers to housing and employment. Public awareness efforts and February training at First United Methodist Church in Ames are planned.
