Obituary: David Paul Wilcox Sr. of Martelle passes away
David Paul Wilcox Sr. 72 of Martelle died January 18 2012 in Bushnell Florida after a long illness. Memorial services will be held later at Martelle Christian Church and his body cremated. He was preceded by a Willie Wilcox and left a wife Lucille and children David Paul Wilcox Jr Debra Ludwig Donna McBride and siblings and grandchildren. He was born April 22 1939 in Fayette County Iowa and lived in Evergreen Park Illinois before moving to Martelle. He worked as a welder for Iowa Manufacturing Cedar Rapids then founded Wilcox Welding and restored antique cars starting in 1968. He enjoyed history music machinery and projects. He traveled and shared his hands on approach with many.
