Clayton County weighs new jail plan and bonds
The Clayton County board and Sheriff Hamann met with PCS Associates and HMN Architects to study a replaceable jail. A 16 bed intake facility could expand to 30 beds with Phase I cost about 2.14 million, Phase II 0.5 million, Phase III 1 million. A public bond referendum needing 60 percent would determine next steps.
