Relief decoupage brings American Gothic to life in wood
Pearle Tyler of Mercy Hospital creates three dimensional wall plaques by layering printed images and sealing with plastic. She explains careful cutting of each picture and emphasizes choosing parts to emphasize, with Harold assisting by preparing wood surfaces. The process uses acrylic spray, silicone caulk for lift, and multiple drying and plastic coats to achieve a durable china like finish.
