Marion council approves traffic signals and sewer projects
The Marion City Council authorized adding pre emption devices to traffic signals at Blairs Ferry Road Lindale Drive and at Armar Drive Marion Boulevard to aid emergency vehicle passage. Costs total 1600 and 1850 dollars. The council also approved 3470 dollars to Crawford and Associates for downtown traffic design and 44378 dollars to Dave Schmitt Construction for north trunk sanitary sewer work. A meadow Ridge Second Addition sewer was accepted and Bruce Boyson was granted a sanitary sewer waiver to build on Boyson Road 800 feet from the nearest line with plans to connect when extended. Twenty years ago Frondizi arrived in the U.S. for a state visit.
