Prairie High renovation plans face a bond referendum after the College Community School Board sets the size of funding at 8 p.m. in the high school library. Earlier the board chose a 4.5 million limit, about half of last year’s 8.5 million proposal that failed.
Revised estimates propose a new library and a cafeteria with a district kitchen, expanded science labs and special education spaces. The plan excludes a swimming pool and would renovate most of the school except the gym and Little Theatre/music wing. Referendum could occur March 22 with architect fees in the bond.
