President elect Clinton said the U S missile strike against Iraq was appropriate and forceful. His press secretary said the incoming administration would continue taking action until Iraq complies. Clinton and advisers took a tough line as he arrived in Washington for his inauguration. He said he fully supports President Bush s action.
