Myanmar Relocates 50,000 Wa to Curb Opium Growth

In Wa territory near China and Thailand, the Myanmar military government and Wa leaders announce plans to relocate about 50,000 people from opium growing areas within five years, with 10,000 already moved. Officials say the aim is to erase drug production while providing new farms and livestock opportunities, though critics doubt success.
