Du Pont Withdraws From Texas Primary Over Petition Fraud
Former Delaware governor Pete du Pont asked to pull his name from the Texas Republican primary ballot amid claims of forged signatures on petitions. A Texas GOP official said removal was too late, and any votes he gains would be uncommitted. Du Pont cited hired firm Southern Political Consulting and a fired staffer Rosanne Robertson as involved in the misconduct.
