Des Moines the Federal State Market News Service reports a barely steady to steady undertone for west north central states. Offerings and trading are light with too few sales to report prices. Supplies are adequate to moderate with prices in cents per pound at farms for commercial flocks too few to report.
News Service reports mostly steady to lower prices with light demand as buyers delay orders to clear inventories. Supply remains plentiful and retailers show large eggs at 59c, medium 69c, while producers pay 40 to 46c for Grade A large, 36 to 40c for Grade A medium, and 15 to 21c for Grade A small per dozen depending on quality and volume.

Cedar Rapids hog market held steady with prices for butchers and packers by weight. Hog and sow prices ranged with reductions for heavier weights. Sheep prices fell from Wednesday. Soybeans and grains moved higher on January to new crop futures with quotes for corn and oats to Cedar Rapids processors.
