Special to The Gazette reports Nina Demestre, known as The Flea, a 10 year old gypsy girl, petitioned President de Gaulle by letter and door knocking at the Elysee Palace. De Gaulle ordered the release of her father five months early, lifting a family’s desperate hardship. Nina plans to thank him with a home cooked meal.
