Linn county motorists who have not yet purchased their 1949 license plates were warned they have two weeks to buy them without penalty. Deputy county treasurer David Day reported that about 13,000 motorists remain, with lines likely to grow as Feb 1 approaches. Truck plate sales for 1949 total about 2,100, and passenger plates sold lag behind last year.
Lawyers from Linn Linn Linn and Cedar counties will attend a legal institute in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday hosted by the Linn County Bar Association.
