Cedar Rapids council delays Mount Vernon Road project hearing
The Cedar Rapids City Council pulled a 7.31 million Mount Vernon Road SE improvement hearing from its Tuesday agenda due to incomplete right of way agreements. The two year project from 20th Street to 26th Street SE includes paving, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalks, storm sewer and water main work, plus a new hybrid beacon at 25th Street. Construction is planned for 2025 and 2026 and funding comes from the Paying for Progress program.
