Reynolds Orders Iowa Flags Raised for Trump Inauguration
Gov Kim Reynolds ordered the Iowa Capitol flags raised to full staff on January 20 for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration then lowered to half staff January 21 through January 28 to honor President Jimmy Carter. The move follows a December half staff order for Carter and parallels actions by other Republican officials and House Speaker Mike Johnson. The broader actions include support from U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley on Bondi’s nomination and a separate $4 million Department of Labor aid plan tied to JBS USA Food Co. for child labor remediation nationwide with emphasis on Iowa communities.
