Several drug firms eye U of I research park facility

Gov. Branstad identified FMC Corp of Chicago as a potential partner for a university of Iowa lab at the planned research park. City tests floodlights and blank-shot plan to deter crowd

Jaeger says within two weeks officials will test floodlights and two officers firing shotguns loaded with blanks to chase away the crowd. If successful, four blank shots and the lights should scare them off, a plan to run for about a week as the city parks department coordinates.
