U of I officials said multiple pharma companies are interested but the first vetted project is FMC. The plant could produce up to 5 million capsules or tablets for research, with six to eight weeks of further evaluation.
Jaeger says within two weeks officials will test floodlights and two officers firing shotguns loaded with blanks to chase away the crowd. If successful, four blank shots and the lights should scare them off, a plan to run for about a week as the city parks department coordinates.
