December dairy herd leaders named in area report

Iowa Angus Men Win At Arizona Stock Show
Marion Sick of Blairstown Iowa exhibited the grand champion steer at the Arizona National Livestock Show in Phoenix the 1 050 pound Angus bred by Unlisted carcass contest committee Leroy Shulte of Norway Iowa. Lyle Miller of Oscedra won reserve grand champion heifer in the purebred Angus show. Karl Hoffmann of Ida Grove judged the event and another Iowan from Fletcher Nichols exhibited the reserve champion pen of five Angus feeder steers. The Iowa Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Association meets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Witt farm north of Traer.
