Lawsuit Over Death In Sully Tanker Cleanup

The mother Tawn Mercer and her children Zayden and Kaleya filed a wrongful death suit in Jasper County against Sully Truck Wash and supervisor Brent Vander Molen after Willie Mercer died January 21, 2014 from hydrogen sulfide exposure during tanker cleaning. OSHA cited serious violations and the company settled for 5000 dollars plus required corrections. Mercer had worked a work release and hoped to reunite with his kids after serving time for burglary.
