Linn County Supervisors review a memo from George Hamilton, director of the conservation department, urging a levy increase from 21.8 to 23 cents to offset falling valuations and finance debt service. He cites a $100,000 cash reserve and a $160,000 Squaw Creek reserve used for a $1 million lake bond issue, seeking an extra $40,000 to bolster reserves amid questions of legal viability.
