CCC Will Not Move Surplus Corn To Empty Bins In Deficit Areas

Iowa CCC and AAA officials told state Triple-A delegates that surplus steel-bin corn in central and western Iowa will not be moved to eastern deficit counties. The plan remains that corn delivered to CCC in a surplus county will be stored in deficit county bins and be available to deficit area feeders if arrangements are made in advance. A brisk corn demand among processors, including for distillation to support war needs, prompted county feeding surveys.
