Riverside casino fined for admitting underage gambler
Des Moines Riverside Casino & Golf Resort was fined 20 000 by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission after an unnamed 19 year old used her sister s driver s license to gamble for more than four hours on Oct 15. The casino plans to sue the woman to recover costs. Diamond to Worth Casino also faced a 20 000 fine for a 16 year old gaining entry with parental support.

Crash near Manchester injures two in two-vehicle collision
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash two miles south of Manchester at about 8 30 pm Wednesday according to the Iowa State Patrol. Christopher M. Gudenkauf 20 of Masonville drove north on County Road D-5X crossed the center line hit Margaret A. Parker 54 of Manchester then rolled into a ditch ending on its top. Gudenkauf was ejected and taken to University Hospitals Iowa City with condition unavailable. Parker transported to St Luke s Hospital.

Washington Library Seeks County Funds for New Downtown Branch
Washington County may provide 30,009 from a Community Attractions and Tourism grant aiding the Washington Public Library.
