Mudslide Rescues Continue After La Conchita Tragedy
Rescuers using listening devices searched night two for missing victims feared buried under mud from a powerful slide that engulfed La Conchita. Thirteen people remained missing with fourteen injured as crews hauled debris with backhoes and hands. Four bodies were recovered, including three men in their fifties and a woman, while authorities warned of further slides as storms battered California.
