Highway Mishaps Fatal to Four Eastern Iowans
Four Eastern Iowans died or suffered critical injuries in Friday traffic crashes near Cedar Rapids and Waterloo. Debra Ann Angerer, 22, of 287 Thirteenth Street NW, died at a hospital after a two car truck collision on Highway 218 at the Cou Falls corner about 16 miles south of Cedar Rapids. Thomas J. Malloy, 26, of 826 C avenue NW, remained in critical condition at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Police could not determine who was driving the car in the incident. The truck driver, Robert Wagoner, 42, of rural Swisher, was also involved in the crash.
