Cedar Rapids Veterans Memorial Building nears new use

After two years and 20 million dollars, the former City Hall site on May's Island is close to reopening as the Veterans Memorial Building. The Veterans Memorial Commission plans to market space for events and offices while maintaining veteran services, with first events possible in April. The Iowa Veterans Welcome Center will move in February, expanding facilities for veteran activities and jobs assistance.
