UC Berkeley researchers report two strange planetary systems around distant stars. One star, HD168443, hosts a body about 17 times Jupiter’s mass, possibly a brown dwarf. Another star Gliese 876 hosts two planets in a 2 to 1 resonant orbit, 30 and 60 day periods.
