Jeffrey Kimmel, 32, serving time on a rape conviction, apparently hanged himself in his Oakdale cell. He was found early Tuesday and pronounced dead at 7 07 a.m. at University of Iowa Hospitals. Officials ruled the death a personal safety related hanging.
