Rules for Snowmobilers on Roads and Highways
Snowmobilers may ride in ditches along many roads if traveling with traffic and other conditions are met. Interstates are off limits, helmet use is not required by law, and crossings must be at right angles with a full stop and yielding to traffic. In emergencies or on designated plowed or unmaintained routes, operation is allowed on certain city and county roads during snow season.
