Fire devastates Cascade truss plant. 100 lose jobs

A 300 foot wide Cascade Manufacturing Co. building burned Sunday morning, destroying the truss production plant and lumberyard but not the main office. About 100 employees face unemployment as owners plan to rebuild this spring. Damages estimated at 1.8 to 2 million. Fire officials remain on scene for safety.
