Six shot at Perry High School leaves one student dead
On the first day back from winter break a 17-year-old student opened fire at Perry High School in Perry Iowa, killing a sixth grader and injuring five others including a district administrator before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot. Police identified the shooter as Dylan Butler and noted bullying as a possible factor. The town of about 8000 sits 40 miles northwest of Des Moines near a pork plant.
