Cedar Rapids man sentenced to 30 years in fentanyl case
Cordero Seals of Cedar Rapids was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after a 2019 trial found him guilty of distributing heroin laced with fentanyl and possessing with intent to distribute. Evidence showed he sold the mix to a man who collapsed at a Cedar Rapids gas station after injecting it. police later found six bags of fentanyl and nearly $3,800 in Seals' pockets. The judge ordered five years of supervised release after prison.
