Slow-speed chase spans four hours across four counties

In a four hour pursuit that never exceeded the speed limit, California Highway Patrol booked Brett Barish, 29, of La Jolla, on charges including evading arrest and driving while intoxicated after a 1978 Volkswagen sedan drove from Malibu to San Diego County. The chase began when Officer Donna Urgidi tried to stop the car for slow driving on Malibu Canyon Road.
