Expos Acquire Ron Hunt From Giants in Trade

SAN FRANCISCO AP In a Monday deal the Montreal Expos acquire Ron Hunt from the San Francisco Giants for minor league first baseman Dave McDonald. Hunt who holds a National League record by being hit by pitches 117 times in eight seasons batted .281 in 117 games last year. McDonald formerly with Winnipeg IL hit .255 with 23 homers. Hunt began with the Mets in 1963 and joined the Giants in 1968 via trade for Tom Haller. He played second base in the 1964 All Star game.

A Black Coach At Washington hires Jackson as assistant

Ray Jackson, a former Washington full back, was named assistant football coach at the University of Washington on Monday. Bonavena Patterson Bout Set For Madison Square Garden

Floyd Patterson and Oscar Bonavena will headline a 10 round heavyweight bout at Madison Square Garden on February 12. The match was moved from January 22 at Bonavena's request.
