Icy Road Fatal Crash Near Ireton Kills Woman

Miss Abbie M. Howard, 66, Delaware county recorder for 20 years until retirement three years ago, died early Monday at Delaware County Memorial hospital in Manchester. Born November 26, 1886 in West Point Nebraska, she came to Manchester 45 years ago and was active in Sisters Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges. Survived by her brother Leslie of Manchester. She suffered a stroke Sunday night and was taken to the hospital. Gill funeral home is handling arrangements.
