Coast Plane Crash Story Deduced From Twisted Wreckage

A federal hearing reconstructed the last minutes of a San Francisco to Los Angeles airliner crash near Burbank California on December 27. The final minutes, from 7:36 to 7:38, show the aircraft at 2,620 feet and gas on board uncertain at 126 gallons. Maj. R W Schroeder and investigators prepare to report findings in Washington with an unofficial view that radio beam interference caused Blom to stray from the course while attempting a localizing maneuver.
