Cedar Rapids man acquitted of murder gets prison for 2010 assault
Johnathan Mitchell 35 was sentenced to seven years total for assault causing serious injury without intent to cause injury and forgery in 2010. He previously was acquitted of first degree murder and robbery in Cathy Stickley’s 2011 cabdriver killing. Restitution exceeds 2,500 to Druvenga and the Iowa Crime Victim Assistance Program.
