Sal Giunta Medal of Honor tour elevates war hero to national figure
Hometown hero Sal Giunta, the first living Medal of Honor recipient from Afghanistan and Iraq, tours the U.S. sharing his harrowing Oct 25, 2007 Korengal Valley ambush story alongside fellow soldiers like Josh Brennan and Hugo Mendoza. He downplays fame, framing himself as an average soldier and ambassador for all service members.
