France to pull 482 peacekeepers from Beirut
France plans to withdraw 482 soldiers from Beirut this month and return them to the U N force in southern Lebanon. Italy is said to reduce its Beirut contingent as Reagan reviews U S role and redeployment plans. A rocket hit the French HQ but caused no casualties.
