Federal agents and local officials conducted a raid at the White Lodge Inn lunchroom on Highway 149 six miles west of the city. Those booked gave names including John Sargent Burgess Roscoe Nelson Harold Dickinson and G L Dickinson. Seizures included a quart bottle and a pop bottle containing suspected spiked beverage and a half pint bottle with trace alcohol. Ray Lucas was ordered to report to the county attorney.
The Interstate Commerce Commission ruled Friday to reduce basic passenger fare to 2 cents a mile and pullman rates to 3 cents a mile, effective June 2.
