Car Theft Spree Continues In Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids police report a new wave of vehicle thefts on Saturday. A Volkswagen owned by Janet Miller was torched south of Otis road after being driven on railroad tracks for about 100 yards, causing severe damage. A Buick belonging to Edward Naughton was stolen from a gas station and later dented further, while mailboxes were smashed and another car stolen from a restaurant area. Authorities described possible additional accidents linked to the thefts.
