Forestville residents were stunned as 57 year old David Kostichka was found alive in his one bedroom Home by his brother Elmer after a week with a gunshot wound to the head. He endured hypothermia malnutrition and dehydration during the ordeal while a 16 year old youth was held in custody in connection with the shooting.

Iowa City Man Die in Head-On Crash Near West Liberty
A 21 year old Iowa City man Darren Krumwiede of 296 Bon Aire Mobile Home Court died after his northbound car crossed the center line and struck a southbound semi on Highway 70 about five miles south of West Liberty. Charley Hudson 50 of rural Muscatine received minor injuries and was released from Muscatine General Hospital. The crash occurred at 5 38 p m and remains under investigation.

A 20-year-old Cedar Rapids man collapsed with an apparent heart attack February 18 at the YMCA Central Branch and was transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City on Monday.
