Mr and Mrs Thomas J Trausch buy 513 Knollwood Dr SE from Deane R Tubbs as they relocate to Wilmette Ill The deal closed through Hedges Associates Inc Working with Doolittle and Co They also sold Melvin Herricks house at 1608 Twefth Ave SW to John R Gates at 1431 Second Ave SE Readied by Rapids Real Estate and Hedges Associates A half acre highway 30 West site near city limits sold to Duane Coonrod from Mrs William Mahan Fort Worth
Mr and Mrs Robert H Klotzbach move from 1547 Bever Ave SE to 1620 Seventh Ave SE. They purchased the property from Mrs Zoe M Roddy of Chicago. The sale was handled by Yuill and Gohmann in cooperation with Bickel and Byers.
The Cedar Rapids Board of Realtors holds the second monthly educational conference Tuesday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton-Montrose. Chairman Donald J. Fisher announces the topic The Multiple Sale with three board members Wayne Larson Robert Stonebraker and H. H. Ware explaining the operation of the multiple listing bureau.
In Williamsburg, Mr and Mrs Roland W Holden design a modern two story house perched on a hill with a large deck, facing fields five miles away. The North side features many windows while the lower level sits at grade with a concrete terrace. The residence uses plastic coated panels, redwood beams, and a crab orchard stone wall to blend with the terrain.
The Towa Title and Abstract Co and Washington National Insurance Co plan new offices on the second floor of the SGA Building at Second Ave and Second St SE Cedar Rapids. The abstract firm will occupy 3400 square feet with a fire resistant vault under construction. Washington National Insurance will lease about 1100 square feet for April occupancy. Both spaces will be built for tenants and feature air conditioning lofty ceilings and designed color schemes.
Mr and Mrs Craig Tenney of 1601 Fourteenth SW have bought a lot on Northwood Drive NE from Rite Way Builders and plan a spring residence. Mr and Mrs Frederick W Johnson of 727 Twenty Fifth NE also bought a Rite Way Builders lot on Northwood Drive for a house to start this spring.
Mr and Mrs Jim Hamilton sold their house at 416 Seventeenth St SE to Mr and Mrs Frank Louvars of 2201 Haven Court SW for investment. Realtor Jerry Cox of Cham berlain Real Estate handled the sale. The same agent also sold Mr and Mrs Duane Ely s acreage on Highway 30 West to Mr and Mrs Elzo Harrison, now at El Mar Bay Motel, with possession set for March 1.
