Missing Iowa student found dead in Clear Creek

Matthew Mc Coy a 22 year old senior from Adel studying construction management at the University of Northern Iowa disappeared Friday. His car left I 380 near the Clear Creek bridge and was found downstream with his body recovered Monday. An autopsy will determine cause of death.

IBP to Cut Over 1000 Jobs at Iowa Pork Plants

IBP plans to lay off more than 1,000 workers at two Iowa pork plants as hog supplies dwindle. Columbus Junction will end second shift carcass production March 3, affecting about 400 of 1,500 jobs while Council Bluffs will shut down carcass production and most processing by April 24, affecting about 650 of 1,200 employees.
