North Liberty woman sues Fareway over chicken salad illness
Denise Whipple a 66 year old North Liberty resident sues Fareway and Triple T Specialty Meats in Johnson County District Court alleging Salmonella from Fareway chicken salad led to illness and risk of liver transplant rejection. The suit cites illness beginning February 8 after purchase February 3 at the North Liberty Fareway. Fareway reports 115 to 115 probable cases linked to the product and has multiple related lawsuits in Polk County and federal court.
